*Note* For those of you who know my OC's Snow, Wind, and Rain. I will be using their Na'vi names. Snow is Pänutìng, Wind is Hufwe, and Rain is Tompa

And when you see "< and >" before and after words, that means whoever is speaking is talking Na'vi)

Pänutìng ran her fingers through her long, black hair as she watched the waves of the Western Sea smash into the rocks. The night brought an eerie feeling to the cliff side. Hundreds of different creatures screeched in the distance. Stingbats and ikrans called to there young and viperwolves ululated into the night.  She let out a stressful sigh and closed her eyes. This was not right. None of it was.

Earlier that evening, her mother had saved the life of the clan's Olo'eyktan, Sansu'pal. The Tsahik was so pleased that she asked Pänutìng's mother if there was anything, anything at all, that she could do for her. After a bit of thinking, she asked the Tsahik if her son Palu'kan, had been assigned a mate yet. The Tsahik said no, and that Plau'kan's previous fiance was killed during her rite of passage. Seizing the opportunity, her mother asked if Pänutìng could be selected as Plau'kan's mate. The two made a deal, and Pänutìng was to be mated with him after she completed her rite of passage, which was to be held the very next day.

Pänutìng just sat there, staring at her skin, as white as the moon. Her skin color was deemed as a bad omen from Eywa, and Pänutìng was secluded the first years of her life, afraid of being criticized because she looked different from , literally, everybody else in the Eluempuai Clan. After her, Pänutìng's mother, Veyrin, had two other children, both who turned out like all the other clan babies. After Pänutìng came a brother. The day he was born was the biggest wind storm known ever to the clan, so he was named Hufwe. Two years later, the last child of the family was born on a day it was raining extremely heavy, so the baby girl was named Tompa. The siblings lost their father not long after Tompa was born. He was killed in a hunting accident. Ever since then, Veyrin had been very protective of her three children, never wanting anything to happen to them. But tomorrow was all three siblings' rite of passage, and she had to tell them good-bye.

Pänutìng couldn't think about that though, she was too upset about the events that had happened earlier. Why couldn't she chose her mate just like nearly every other woman in the clan. She was 18, old enough to make her own, mature decisions. Everything Pänutìng learned she had learned from her mother. Veyrin hadn't wanted her going to a normal Na'vi school, so she had taught Pänutìng herself. Why, all of a sudden, did her choices seem wrong to Pänutìng?

It seemed much too late for her to be out, so Pänutìng got up from her stargazing spot on the cliff, picked up her food gathering basket, and left.

On her way back to her family's hutch on the hillside, Pänutìng heard some farmiliar voices behind a bush. Curious, she put down her basket and went to check it out. She knelt before the bunch and pulled at a couple of it's branches, and almost fell back with what she saw. It was her 15-year-old sister, Tompa, and- even more to Pänutìng's surprise- Palu'kan. The two were holding hand and looking somberly at each other. Pänutìng rubbed her eyes, making sure she was seeing right. The two were talking loud enough just so that she could hear them.

"<I'm leaving for my rite of passage tomorrow, there's no way I can tell my mother.>"

Tompa whispered.

"" Palu'kan suggested.

"<No, if you do it, they're going to know somethings up."

"<Maybe your right, but I'll still try to work things out while your away.>"

"<Thanks, Palu. But I still can't believe it!>"

""

"<Of all people, it's my own sister. Someone I've known all my life.>"

"<It's not Pänutìng's fault.>"

""

"<And it's not that I don't like her. I just know if I could live with myself if I had to leave you.>"

Tompa sighed. "<Well, if my mother sees I'm gone she'll come looking for me. I better go.>"

Pänutìng quickly realized that if Tompa saw her, she would never forgive her. So, using everything hunting tip she learned from her parents, she gracefully and quietly moved the bush branches back into place and got up from her kneeling position and ran away. She ran and ran and didn't stop until she reached her family's hut. The little homes that were built into the hillside seemed so quiet. Most of the time they were full of life, families with small children going about there daily activities. Now, the little clan seemed so dull and lifeless, but that was not the thing on Pänutìng's mind. She slammed through the little wooden door of her family's hut, removed her harvesting knife from the string of her loincloth and threw herself onto her her hammock. Hufwe sat up in his and asked Pänutìng if she was okay, but she rolled on her side, channeling out his question. Tears came to her eyes, she really was ruining her sister's life.

Wow, really great writing. Please post more!

I also really liked the names you choose. It fits in so well with the Na'avi languge. C:
